Privacy Policy — e-Tasbeeh

This Privacy Policy describes how e-Tasbeeh handles information when you use the mobile application. Use this page as the privacy policy URL in Google Play Console and in the app (Settings → About).

Summary

Information stored on your device

The app may store the following on your device only (using local storage such as Hive):

• Dhikr preferences (type, custom phrase, goal, theme, opacity, accessibility options)
• Current session count and related session state
• Local statistics (for example today / week / month / lifetime totals, streak, achievements)
• Reminder preferences (whether gentle reminders are enabled and the interval)
• Floating companion preferences on Android (position, size)

We do not collect names, email addresses, payment details, precise location, contacts, SMS, call logs, photos, or microphone/camera data through this app.

Permissions and optional features

Notifications (optional)

If you enable Gentle reminders, the app may ask for notification permission and schedule local reminders on your device. Reminders are processed locally; we do not use them to track you across apps or sites.

Display over other apps / floating companion (Android, optional)

If you enable the floating companion, Android may ask for Display over other apps permission. This lets a floating bead counter appear while you use other apps so you can continue dhikr. Purpose is limited to that companion experience. It is not used for advertising, analytics, or reading the content of other apps.

While the floating companion is active, Android may show a persistent notification related to the overlay service. You can stop the floating companion at any time in Settings or from the companion controls.

Vibration / haptics (optional)

Haptic feedback may use the device vibrator when enabled in Settings.

No accounts; no sale or sharing with advertisers

e-Tasbeeh does not require an account. We do not sell personal information. The current shipping build does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cloud sync of your dhikr data.

Data retention and deletion

• In app: Settings → Privacy → Clear all local data removes settings, session, and statistics stored by the app, cancels reminders, and stops the floating companion.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling e-Tasbeeh removes the app’s local data from your device (subject to your operating system’s normal behavior).

Because data is stored only on device and we do not operate a user account backend for this app, there is no separate “server-side account deletion” request to process for dhikr history.

Children

e-Tasbeeh is a general spiritual productivity tool and is not directed at children as a Designed for Families product. Do not use the app if you are not permitted to do so under applicable law in your region.

Third-party services

The current shipping build is designed to work offline for core counting. If future versions add optional online features (for example sync or support links that open in a browser), those services will be disclosed here and in the store listing before they ship.

Opening links such as this Privacy Policy or our website uses your device’s browser; those sites are governed by their own notices where applicable (see the website section below).

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s data practices change. The effective date at the top will be revised, and material changes will be reflected in the app store listing and/or in-app notice as appropriate.
